VR GUI

Updated: Aug 30, 2018

Interesting points:

VR technology was being development before the first graphic user interface:

How we interact with GUI's is a response to how we understand the 'natural physicals' of virtual environments.

For example in many Virtual experiences we see that our hands collide with objects and enter the object instead of touch the surface, how then can we design for a physical understanding of a space or for a virtual understanding of space.

Do we design for the understanding that objects do collide or do we design for a space which apply to the laws of physics in physical space?

This could be related to the question about the feedback loop to physical space in my design. Although I do think that it is more useful possible to design virtual space for the physics of virtual space, if you are looking for a recognition in the physical space, the action should be similar to how you would experience it later in the physical space.
