I wanted the space to draw attention to indoor air quality specifically so I built glasshouses in sketch up to enclose the objects in the space.
to ensure that the smoke did not go through the glass planes, I had to insert colliders on each surface of the glass house. This meant then putting all of the glass planes on a layer so that when the smoke objects collided with the glass planes it triggered the smoke to destruct:
