For the space I am looking to create I need a building which is in the design development stage which I can locate the user in to address the potential materials - finishes - products which could be potentials for the building. I have decided to apply the space to a pre-existing development plan built by a lecturer at Massey University, Jo Bailey.
The building plan is for a section on Oku Street, Island Bay. The section is _____ sq ft and is located 2 blocks away from the waterfront on a hill side.
The building has been made to ensure passive heating with double glazing and wind protective elements.

The location of the site will be important for calculating the cost of transportation of materials aswell as where the materials could be locally sourced from.
The location of the site is also important in calculating what impact it will have on the environment surrounding the site. In this instance the location is close to the water site and a marine sanctuary. Because of this the impact on the water ways is heavily important and directly relevant to the sites location.
